Hello
My name is Hannah and I trained in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) at the Clifton Practice in Bristol, where I obtained a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH). I live on the outskirts of Bristol with my husband and three young children.
Prior to training in SFH I worked as a Paediatric Nurse for over 10 years, working on various wards and finally the Neurosciences unit at Bristol Childrens Hospital.
I have always had a love for helping people, and nursing was the perfect job for me. I thrived on the fast pace of the wards and being surrounded by different people every day. Seeing the children get better, and building a rapport with them and their families was so special.
I always knew I would be a nurse from a young age, and I truly loved the time that I spent in that career. However after over 10 years in the NHS, family life becoming busier than ever, and my husbands’ job moving abroad, I knew it was time for a change. This is when I found hypnotherapy, and I am so thankful I did! It really has been one of the best decisions I ever made – being able to help people to overcome their difficulties in such a positive way really is amazing and so rewarding. I have been able to put my existing skills to good use, and also develop new ones. I have a real passion for solution focused hypnotherapy, I talk about it to everyone I know! This is because I can see the positive benefits it can have on a persons life.
I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH), which requires me to keep my skills updated by attending regular CPD events, have regular supervision sessions with my supervisor, and to adhere to the code of performance and ethics. This ensures that I am practicing safely and within my competence. I am still learning every day, no client is the same – which is what makes this therapy so great. I hold a current DBS certificate.
I work with both adults and children either at my own private studio in a peaceful location in Easter Compton Bristol, or online over zoom. Clients may have a preference for face to face or zoom, and factors such as distance, time, childcare etc may all play a role in deciding which is best for you.
